About Louwtjie: Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Louwtjie has been playing guitar since the age of 11. He is a big fan of jazz, pop/rock and influenced by artist such as John Mayer, Danny Elfman, Robert Johnson, Ingwe Malmsteen and also local SA guitarist Wayne Bosch. In 2007 at the age of 16 he started an Afrikaans rock band Ben Nevis. They launched 3 music videos on MK and the second video "Die Gevoel Verduidelik" went to number 1 on the MK top 10 videos. Louwtjie also made the final top 6 of SA's Got Talent in 2009 with a percussive acoustic guitar solo. He is currently doing his gr.6 classical theory and gr.8 classical guitar at UNISA. Also started a music school from home and busy doing a lot of session work, corporate functions and live shows. He has played with some well known artist such as Jax Panik, Francois van Coke, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Riaan Hunter etc. Last year he performed at "Die Burger Pops" (Artscape) and this year at "Afri Klassiek" (Grand West Arena). Performing in the session band as well as a solo artist. Sharing the stage with Steve Hofmeyer, Chris Cameleon, Nianell, Riaan Hunter, Michelle Veenemans etc. Known as a guitarist, he is also a singer/songwriter. Currently he finished a pop/rock EP that will be released soon with a music video for a single "Kiss me like you mean it." On this EP every instrument, as well as vocals, were done by himself. With some virtuoso guitar skills he provides a load of entertainment at live shows
